Trip to New York City

We headed to New York City this weekend!

We stayed at the Liberty Harbor Campground and Marina in Jersey City. It was mostly a big parking lot with water and electric hookups. It was not the prettiest of places, but it was a very convenient location, just across the city on the Hudson River. You could see the Statue of Liberty from the campground.

After getting settled in, we headed to the ferry to go see the Statue of Liberty. We almost missed the boat, but made it with just a few minutes to spare, after the long security line.

It was a beautiful day for a boat trip. The ferry took us first to Ellis Island, and then to the Statue of Liberty. We decided not to get off at either stop, since the lines to catch the ferry again were really long.

We were able to catch some great views of the city and of the Statue of Liberty.

We then took our car into the city and headed to Rick's grandma's house, where we were going to get together with Rick's parents.
