Getting settled in

Well, it's been almost two weeks since we sold the house and became official fulltimers. We have been busy these days getting settled and finding a place for every item we brought. We filled a few bags of things to donate as we continue to downsize and re-evaluate what goes in our closets and drawers. Every item has to earn the right to take up our precious space.

Of course, I quickly realized that the places I had assigned for things at first did not work, and had to re-arrange almost every spot of the RV, inside and out. I am sure this will be an ongoing process as we continue to change our lifestyle.

We are really enjoying ourselves, and the space is more than enough for all of us. We do not feel cramped at all, and the kids are spending a lot of time playing outside (like boys should!). There were some families on spring break this week, so the boys made some new friends and enjoyed having other kids around to play with. The other kids really liked our outdoor TV, so they spent some time over here too. It is actually kind of cool to call the kids in for dinner, and then see them dash off to play outside again as soon as they are done. We didn't have other kids in our street before, so they mainly stayed inside.

We are currently at Lake Fairfax Park, and since the sites do not have water connection, we need to conserve the water in our tank as much as possible (to limit the number of trips to re-fill). We came up with a great idea... (I did)... The four boys go out every evening to have their showers at the campground showers, and mom has hers inside. It has worked out really well, and Migue does not complain about bathtime anymore. One of the beauties of having all boys!!!

Well, we are planning on going to Williamsburg this weekend, so I will let you all know how that goes.
