Napa Valley, we made it back. In 2002 Rick and I celebrated our 10th anniversary by spending a week here, and have wanted to come back ever since.
It is just such a beautiful place.

Of course, having the boys with us made for a different kind of visit, without all the winery tours and tastings, but a nice visit nevertheless.


We did get to go on a luch date by ourselves to Julia's Kitchen in COPIA ("COPIA is a non-profit discovery center whose mission is to explore, celebrate and share the many pleasures and benefits of wine, its relationship to food and its significance to our culture." ). We had the chef's tasting menu for the day, a five course lunch with wine pairings, and it was amazing. We got to seat right by Chef Victor Scargle, and chatted with him as he prepared our meal. We had a great time. And, of course, the food was amazing.
