visiting Tampa

We were planning on spending 2 weeks in Tampa, but the visit extended to a full month.

First we attended JMJ's Promotion Ceremony (our homeschool group), and celebrated Carlos' 8th grade graduation. My friend Lynn and I took all the 8th graders for an afternoon in Busch Gardens. They had a blast.

The first two weeks in Tampa the kids attended a Literature Class we had signed them up for and we visited with friends and family.

We had an unexpected change of plans when my doctor said I needed to schedule surgery (D&C) before we left, since they found some polyps in my uterus. The surgery went well, and I stayed a couple of extra days to rest. It was nice to be able to have it done in Tampa with my doctor and being close to friends and family. My mom came down and stayed a couple of days with me, and helped with the kids.

The boys were soooo happy that they got to spend some extra time with their friends. The whole time we stayed at our friends, the Pfost's... in their driveway. It was really neat to be neighbors for a while. They set up a 50 AMP hookup for us, and we were better than in any campground we've ever been. It was sad to say goodbye.
